Curated by Liam Garstang, Nice One Picasso was a contemporary art project for the Sydney leg of the 2017 St. Jerome's Laneway Festival. Held throughout Callan Park, Rozelle, and in the Laneway Pretty Important People (PIP) bar, the two exhibitions showcased the work of current students and graduates of Sydney College of the Arts (Laneway's Sydney venue).
The outdoor exhibition component in Callan Park, Rozelle, featured work by Eugene Choi, Adrian De Giorgio, Chris Dolman, Chris Fox, Liam Garstang, Francesca Heinz, Hana Hoogedeure + Luke O'Donnell, Robin Hungerford, Clare Milledge and Ben Terakes.
The indoor component throughout in the SCA Galleries for the Laneway 'Pretty Important People' (PIP) Bar, featured Vicky Browne, Consuelo Cavaniglia, Harley Ives, Biljana Jancic, Richard Kean, Jonny Niesche, Kate Scardifield, Kai Wasikowski and Justene Williams
Following on from the Festival an adapted exhibition incorporating all work created for the project was exhibited in the SCA Galleries, with performances on opening night, Wednesday 8 February.
